Things we never knew we needed – 2020 edition: a fully functioning workspace in the privacy of our own homes; dressy triple-layered masks for socially distanced night-time glam; and a florist on speed-dial as purveyors of prettiness in the ugly face of the global pandemic.

Luckily Dubai’s finest flower emporiums have answered our call, so here are five of our favourite weekly floral subscriptions.

Flower House Dubai

For an artful shot of styling to elevate your space, Flower House is a new subscription-based flower service delivering fresh seasonal – and exquisitely refined – wild floral arrangements straight from the Netherlands to the dream homes of Dubai. Choose weekly or twice-monthly deliveres from Dhs118 up to Dhs148 or a one-off bouquet for Dhs188. Each delivery comes wrapped in a sustainable brown paper cone that’s oh-so-satisifying to unfurl with adorable illustrations printed on the inside including advice on how to display your blooms and make them last longer. The final design is only revealed on the day of the delivery, but rest assured you’ll receive a curation that’s a cut above the rest.

Handtied Box

You can order a One-Off Box for Dhs185, or subscribe to a Bi-Weekly Blooms (two boxes per month) for Dhs350;  Weekly Blooms (four boxes per month) for Dhs590; a three months for Dhs1,656 or a six months for Dhs3.120. Each box comes with instructions as to how to care for and curate your bouquet so all you need to do is unleash your creativity.

Natalia Shustova is one of several influencers in the region who has found a new side hustle in 2020, and having partnered with floral designer Gurgen Yeritsyan, Goshá is fast becoming the Dubai fashion scene’s favourite florist, having already created bespoked designs for the likes of Chloé, Jimmy Choo and adidas x Ivy Park just weeks after opening the doors of its studio in Al Quoz. So who’s Goshá? “Goshá is sophisticated, well-travelled, worldly, a lover of the arts and advocate of self-expression, beauty and artistry,” Natalia tells Grazia. “We only work with fresh flowers and receive  deliveries twice a day, making sure we have small quantities but very wide range of flowers so we can create our floral art pieces.” Natalia continues, “We love to work with seasonal flowers and locally grown plants where possible from dates to desert flowers. We never repeat our flower arrangements and endeavour to surprise our subscribers weekly with something unexpected.” A weekly subscription of Flower Therapy from Goshá costs Dhs315 which adds up to Dhs1,260 for the month complete with a consultation to make sure the deliver suits your dwellings.
