We turn the spotlight on women who are not just shaping industries, but redefining them entirely. Few embody this spirit quite like Anjula Acharia: a visionary entrepreneur whose instinct for culture, talent and global storytelling has consistently placed her ahead of the curve.

Arguably best known for her role in bridging South Asian talent with the global entertainment stage, Anjula has spent decades building platforms, breaking barriers and challenging the status quo. From early advocacy of South Asian representation in Hollywood to managing global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas, her career is a masterclass in foresight and fearless execution.

Now, as founder and CEO of 5 Junction Records, she is once again rewriting the playbook – this time in music – with a mission to amplify diverse voices and reshape the sound of mainstream pop. Her work sits at the intersection of culture and commerce, where identity is not a niche, but a powerful global currency.

The story of 5 Junction Records is…

After decades of bridging the Eastern and Western music industries, I founded 5 Junction Records. From the Slumdog Millionaire ‘Jai Ho’ remix to bringing Lady Gaga to India, this has been a long time coming. With Indian music now surging globally on streaming platforms, the timing was right to launch this joint venture with Warner Music.

I was inspired to enter the entertainment space because…

I wanted to see more people like me on TV, in Ads, and in pop culture.

My daily routine consists of…

Several meetings, phone calls, and taking time out to reflect through meditation or reading scriptures.

My role as Founder/CEO entails…

Leading a movement and remembering that the key objective is to focus on cultural capitalism.

The biggest hurdle I’ve experienced in my career…

Battling the naysayers.

The biggest milestone I’ve achieved is…

Doing the impossible.

A quote I live by is…

Minds are like parachutes, they only operate when they’re open.

What I hope for 2026 is…

World peace.
