Many things that have happened in 2026 thus far weren’t necessarily on our 2026 bingo card, but Dubai getting a personal message from Rihanna before the arrival of R9 definitely wasn’t one of them.
But yes, you read that correctly, the one and only Rihanna wrote a message to Dubai “sending love” – on a porcelain plate of all places.
The note coincides with the arrival of an acclaimed restaurant from Paris, Siena, which also happens to be Rihanna’s go-to, in the city.
Located in DIFC, Siena Dubai shared the singer-turned-beauty mogul’s message to its Instagram page.
“Sending love to Dubai. See you soon Siena – Rihanna,” the message read.
The Grammy Award winner is known to frequent Siena Paris regularly and was actually spotted there with her partner, ASAP Rocky, last week.
The Paris outpost – all marble tables, frescoed walls and bespoke chandeliers – has been the insider spot since it opened back in 2023. By night, it turns into something you don’t really want to leave, which is presumably why Rihanna was still there long enough to send Dubai a message about it.
Three years after its opening its doors in the French capital, Siena has arrived in Dubai, brought over by founder Mehdi Abdelhedi and Paris Society’s Rizwan Kassim.
It brings with it the same mysterious glamour, same velvet booth energy, newly reimagined for Dubai.
The linguine all’astice alone is worth the reservation. The tiramisu might be worth the wait almost as much as R9. Almost.
