Her Royal Highness Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al Saud has consistently proven that even the smallest gestures can leave a lasting impact–especially when they show up for someone at one of the most significant milestones of their life.
Always known for her outspoken nature and authentic presence, the Princess, who currently serves as the Saudi Ambassador to the United States, recently travelled to Virginia to speak at Marymount University’s graduation ceremony.
Seen wearing a graduation robe, she delivered a heartfelt speech to the graduating class of 2026. This marks her second visit to the university, having previously received an honorary doctorate in 2022 for her championing work in women’s empowerment.
In the now-viral TikTok, Princess Reema was seen interacting with a female Saudi scholarship student, who had captioned the clip: “I’m a scholarship student, and I was really heartbroken my parents couldn’t make it to my graduation.”
However, much to her surprise, Princess Reema not only attended the ceremony but also took the time to speak with the student and even pose for a few photos with her.
Naturally, the sweet moment between the Saudi royal and the student took the internet by storm, with the TikTok quickly boasting over 186,000 likes and thousands of comments from users around the world.
Who is Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al Saud?
HRH Princess Reema is no stranger to the limelight. As a prominent member of the House of Al Saud, she has spearheaded a slew of significant changes across the nation, particularly in the realm of women’s empowerment and even fashion.
She was on February 15, 1965, to Prince Bandar Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, who was the previous Ambassador of the United States, and Princess Haifa al-Faisal.
Naturally following her father’s diplomatic footsteps, she became the first woman in Saudi Arabia to be appointed as Ambassador, paving the way for major reforms within the Kingdom.
