Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has always been a woman known for her undeniable passion for culture.

As the chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and a member of the Dubai Council and the Executive Council of Dubai, it’s no surprise that the sheikha would commend the place she calls home.

Dubai has progressed in numerous ways under the royal’s direction and guidance. As such, she took her excitement about Dubai’s culture of harmony to Davos, Switzerland, and explained how UAE residents are thriving.

She shared her panel session on Instagram, saying, “Within the UAE, and specifically Dubai, you have a very interesting social fabric of people from over 180 nations who are living and working. And they’re living very cohesively within society.”

The Sheikha explained that while Dubai is home to many cultures, social harmony has been seamless like never before.

“It’s a different model than anywhere else in the world,” she said. “Because people don’t have to integrate within the UAE culture to coexist with others, they are instead respected for retaining their own cultural identity and practice—even celebrated for it.”

Her role as the mediator, better yet, as the catalyst for this progress, has pushed the boundaries of happiness and satisfaction that Dubai residents experience.

Expanding on this “unique fabric,” the sheikha elaborated saying, “We have a lot of different cultural celebrations that we share within Dubai. From all over the world, we celebrate Diwali, we celebrate Christmas, we celebrate our national events and cultural celebrations as well.

“And I think this really contributes to the identity of how Dubai operates and presents a very unique way of doing things.”

By championing her vision of culture, Sheikha Latifa has set a global benchmark for cultural harmony, truly making Dubai the go-to hub of inclusivity and the best place for creatives to grow.
