The UAE is making Dubai a safer place for women with the development of the first women-only dedicated beach coming this year.

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Al Mamzar Corniche redevelopment will feature a safe haven for women’s leisure.

The beachfront project will span across 125,000 square metres with a devoted space for women. Promising a variety of attractions designed with women’s comfort and safety in mind, the dedicated area will include night swimming facilities, astate-of-the-art recreational sports club, and a children’s play area. Further elevating the security and privacy, the area will be fenced and gated, creating a serene environment for women to unwind.

Ensuring the space remains innovative for recreational activities, the beach will feature a 1,000 metre running, walking, and cycling paths linking Al Mamzar Creek Beach and Al Mamzar Park. While also keeping the beach sustainable and ultimately a standard of aesthetic to blend function and visual appeal.

Looking forward to make Dubai the best city to live and work in, Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality said to WAM, “We continue to work towards the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aiming to improve Dubai and become the best city to live in.

“This project reflects our commitment to creating innovative, sustainable infrastructure that aligns with Dubai’s future ambitions.”

The first phase of the project began in 2023 and is already 45 per cent completed according to the official Dubai Media Office. With excitement raising for a women’s only beach, you can expect an array of benefits once it reaches completion.
