As the end of another exhilarating Formula 1 season comes close to an end, all eyes turn to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the thrilling finale to the F1 calendar.
Now in its 16th year, this race has solidified its status as one of the highlights of Abu Dhabi’s buzzing events calendar, promising an unforgettable weekend filled with excitement, entertainment and high-speed action.
With F1’s popularity growing swiftly due to its Netflix’s docuseries Formula 1: Drive to Survive, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix race is a must-see this year, with tickets selling out rapidly.

When is it happening?
The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024, will take place from Friday, December 6 to Sunday, December 8.
Friday, December 6: First practice session from 1:30pm to 2:30pm, followed by the second session from 5 PM to 6 PM.
Saturday, December 7: Third practice session at 2:30pm, with qualifying at 6pm.
Sunday, December 8: The main event kicks off at 5pm.
Where will it take place?

The race takes place at the spectacular Yas Marina Circuit on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island.
This iconic track spans 5.281 km, with the 20 drivers completing 58 laps of high-action racing.
Why is it Special?
All of the F1 races are a pretty incredible experience, but The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is particularly exciting as its the last race of the season – the grand finale of a record-breaking 24-race season.
As points for the driver championship title are accumulated throughout the F1 season, the winning driver is often decided before the last race.
However the excitement remains, especially as teams are fighting for both driver and constructor championship titles, with the official crowing taking place at the end of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Who is set to win?

While Max Verstappen of Red Bull looks set to win another championship, McLaren’s Lando Norris is not far behind, with just 62 points separating them and three races to go.
Additionally, McLaren recently took the lead in the constructor’s championship, for the first time since 2014. If they gain victory, it will be their first constructor champiopnship title since 1998.

The excitement continues off track with the Yasalam after-race concerts taking place throughout the weekend. The lineup features a variety of international acts set to perform at Etihad Park.

What Else to Expect
The entire Yas Island transforms into an exciting hub during the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend as F1 fever takes over, with an abundance of brunches, parties, and celebrity sightings.
This year is set to be a star-studded event, with previous celebrities such as Georgina Rodríguez, Naomi Campbell, Peggy Gou, The Hemsworth brothers and Huda Kattan being in attendance.
Visitors can also explore attractions like Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros World, and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi.
