Over the last 140 years, the House of Bvlgari has forged designs emblematic of its heritage and everlasting, timeless interpretations of its home, Roma, Italy.
Forging the same very path to a new-found direction is creative director Mary Katrantzou. Debuting her first collection for Bvlgari’s leather goods and accessories since stepping into her new role with Bvlgari earlier this year, she outlines The Calla Collection in a light that reminisces over the past to blend over the modern codes of the Maison seamlessly.
At the heart of this collection, she draws inspiration from the historical Terme di Caracalla, and the house’s Divas Collection, both a timeless influence to Katrantzou’s Calla motif.
With its distinctive curve, and the inners that blend to a singular point, the iconic fan takes precedence as the central signature of the Calla Collection. An ode to the polychromatic mosaics of the Terme di Caracalla, Kantrantzou envelops the already-rich inspiration of the label and etches this to the collection designs.
The Serpentine Duo

Taking form in a trapezium shape, Kantrantzou introduced the Serpentine Duo, featuring a double Serpenti head engraved with blends of crystals shaped in the Calla motif. Available in an array of peppered crystals and elegant hues on leather statements, the Serpentine Duo exerts a timeless and limitless piece for those invested in being in the now.

The Serpenti Sugarloaf

With the ancient mosaic lines in mind, the Sugarloaf embodies the same tessellated motif. However, it is epitomised in the form of intricate matalassé treatment unto a padded-volume nappa leather. Guided by expert artisans, the Sugarloaf’s captivating sleek black or pearly white tones are further elevated with a gold-plated brass embellished snakehead closure.

The Ginkgo Clutch

In the space of the Calla motif’s refined elegant curvature, the Maison takes the silhouette to form a singular yet outspoken crystal-studded clutch. Engrossed in hand-set pavé crystals, the Gingko clutch layers itself with a mixture of jewellery workmanship and the finesse of Bvlgari’s finest leather craftsmanship.
