Earlier this year, the L’École School of Jewelry Arts opened its doors in Dubai, the first of its kind in the region, focussing on the education of jewellery creation and the history of jewellery around the world.

Supported by French high jewellery Maison, Van Cleef & Arpels, the Dubai location marks the third international outpost of the initiative after Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Launching back in April, the opening of L’École School of Jewelry Arts was celebrated with an opulent exhibition showcasing the immaculate craftsmanship behind oriental jewellery.

Entitled “Gold and Treasures: 3000 Years of Chinese Ornaments”, the captivating exhibition is set to come to a close in the next couple of weeks.

Painting a vivid story of the centuries-old masterpieces from ancient Chinese dynasties, the exhibition features private collections and unique goldsmithing sensations where attendees can witness the grandiose pieces up close.

Only available until August 10, this is your last chance to indulge in the realm of exquisite Chinese jewellery at the L’École School of Jewelry Arts exhibition. Blending artisan fashion with decadent history prepare to be transported and wowed.

Perhaps the most celebrated display within the buzzworthy exhibition, the Mengdiexuan collection undoubtedly was a sight to see at the highly anticipated production. Directly translating to “Butterfly Pavilion”, this private art array is among Hong Kong’s most sacred possessions. Embodying the diverse creativity of the bustling nation’s bejewelled ways, the curation of the collection was headed by third-generation collectors Betty Lo and Kenneth Chu.

What started as a family heirloom wedding gift then transformed into a fascination with their heritage’s history of metalwork and gold, and now exists as a limitless divergence of China’s deep history of artisanal jewellery making.
