Thousands of movie theaters across the nation remain closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that’s not stopping anyone from consuming content—especially since streaming services are evolving film as we know it. To celebrate all of the content we binged from the couch this past year, the 2021 Golden Globes is still a go, set to take place on Sunday, February 28. The event will air live in the USA at 8 p.m, EST (4 a.m if you’re in Dubai) hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Fey will host from Rockefeller Center’s Rainbow Room in New York, and Poehler will be at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
The 2021 Golden Globes celebrates the best in television and film in 2020, so it’s no surprise to the world that Ozark, The Trail of the Chicago 7, and Mank grace the nominee list. Naturally, though, the internet is ablaze with commentary surrounding some of this year’s Golden Globe nominations. Critics are baffled that Emily in Paris is a contender and shocked to see that Zendaya still isn’t nominated, despite numerous predictions she’d join the list of nominees for her role in Malcolm & Marie.
