It must be almost impossible for Nicky Zimmermann to have an absolute favourite piece when she releases a new collection. Not just because a designer shouldn’t love one child more than the others, but simply because they’re all simply so exquisite.
Yet for her new Resort Swim 2017 collection, the answer comes via email in a flash. “I really love the Corsair frill tier long dress, it’s just a great dress for summer that I’ll wear everywhere,” she tells GRAZIA. Still, there’s tough competition amongst the new range dropping October 3.

Its storyboarded to represent a woman escaping scandalous house partiers and smoky jam sessions, “on a whim she sails the Riva, jetting to secret soirées on hidden inlets in belted high waist bikinis and lattice panelled one pieces.”
As well as the usual sculpted one-pieces and pretty bikinis, the collection features feminine tiered dresses, broderie blouses, crochet tops georgette sundresses, playful linen pieces and even cropped jeans that are the stuff dream resort holiday wardrobes are made of.
Her own no-so-secret favourite aside, what does Zimmermann expect customers will gravitate to? “There are some great tops and bodices in the collection this season and I think our Zimmermann girls will really love them. One of my favourite looks is the Prima Cherry crop worn back with the matching pant that we’ve done.” The collection drops in store and online on October 3.
