In the heart of South Korea’s dynamic capital city and against the backdrop of the iconic Jamsugyo Bridge, Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of womenswear, will reveal his Pre-Fall 2023 womenswear collection for Louis Vuitton.
Having previously held shows in San Diego, Kyoto, Palm Springs, and Rio de Janeiro, among other destinations, the French luxury house will mark the next chapter in a strong, longstanding relationship between the Maison and South Korea.
Collaborating with film director Hwang Dong-Hyuk, who established himself as a world-class director with the Netflix hit Squid Game, the Prefall collection show scenography is set to be a standout.
South Korean actress and LV ambassador HoYeon Jung will likely revive her role fronting the catwalk.
The show will serve as a way to celebrate the strong links between Louis Vuitton and South Korea, acting as a nod to the vibrant city of Seoul, the creativity and cultural heritage of the Republic of Korea. Louis Vuitton is very present in the South Korean market already, operating 35 stores in Korea since opening its first store in 1991.
