Finally, a tease of the hotly-anticipated Victoria’s Secret x Balmain lingerie capsule collection set for big reveal in Shanghai next week, and it’s every bit as strong and sexy as you’d expect.

Ever since news broke that the French fashion house teamed with the lingerie giant to create a capsule collection for the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Runway Show happening November 20 and televised five days later, keen fashion watchers (including GRAZIA) have been scratching for first glimpses.

Now in a video of VS Angel Jasmine Tookes by Vogue US, we’ve been given a taste, starting with her Balmain Angel wings made entirely of safety pins.

Friend of the Angels: Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing with Sara Sampaio

Rather conveniently, French fashion house’s creative director Olivier Rousteing is close friends with several of the Angels (along with the Kim and Kanye, whom he famously has framed portraits of in his studio).

So designing big-hype smalls that look sensational on close friends like long-time Victoria’s Secret heavenly body Sara Sampaio wouldn’t have been a stretch for the charismatic Frenchman.

Another clue is the name of the segment the Balmain capsule will be shown in: Punk Angels. Anyone familiar with the world’s biggest runway show will know there are multiple “acts” to the show, each with its own name and themed costumes.

“My wings are made completely out of safety pins. They’re like really badass,” said Tookes in the video. “One secret that you guys probably don’t know is that the Angels actually make their own wings,” she continued, joking. “This took me like 800 hours to do this.”

The third reveal is these images, which have surfaced on the internet of several key pieces, including a red tartan bra with diamantes, fishnet mesh briefs and a high-necked mesh bra that almost has (sexy) vampire-like vibes. All were inspired by the punk scene in the ’70s and completely in line with the bad girl body-con look we’re used to from Rousteing’s designs.

“We believe in the same kind of woman: a powerful lady, a strong and confident and sexy girl that knows what she wants,” says Rousteing in this Road to the Runway episode shown above.  “What I think they love from me is all the couture and the craftsmanship and at the same time, the attitude that the Balmain girl has. It’s not far from what they do as well.”

Reports suggest the Victoria’s Secret x Balmain range will range in price from US$28 (around $37) for briefs up to a whopping US$248 ($326) for the Swarovski crystal-encrusted long-line bra shown in the gallery above. The matching Swarovski-blinged G-string briefs will cost US$48. The tartan bra in the collection, which will be on sale from November 29, sits in the middle at reported US$88.
