Kelce and Swift are a couple seemingly getting more serious. If it wasn’t already clear from those viral PDA videos or the NFL star’s endless praise of the singer, it certainly is in the sweet nickname he just let slip.
On his podcast New Heights, Kelce opened up about Swift’s gesture this week, where she liked a Kansas City Chiefs’ Instagram post celebrating Kelce’s latest team record.
In giving her a shoutout, he also revealed his shorthand for Swift.
“Thanks, Tay,” he said. “I appreciate you on the Chiefs page supporting.”
His brother and co-host, Jason, then asked whether Swift had previously followed tight-end stats.
“I don’t know if she’s a tight-end fan or not,” Kelce laughed.”I’ll have to ask her.”
The singer, who is currently in the midst of her worldwide Eras Tour, has been cheering Kelce on at four of his games at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas, but it’s unclear if she followed the sport before their romance.
Swift and Kelce have been dating since around August/September.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal earlier this month, the pro-athlete opened up about how he crossed paths with Swift when her Eras Tour landed in his hometown. Where he initially revealed on his podcast that he had made the singer a bracelet with his number on it but failed to get it in her hands, he explained that he had somebody “playing Cupid” set them up.
“I got lucky enough to get her to reach out,” he told the outlet.
