Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could shift out of the honeymoon phase sooner than expected. The celebrity couple, whom Kelce claimed first connected back in July after a mutual friend “played cupid” for the pair, have made no attempts to hide their mutual interest and burgeoning relationship from the public.

However, the tragic passing of Swift’s fan, Ana Clara Benevides Machado, has reportedly had a major impact on the duo, particularly, their plans to share the Thanksgiving holiday. It was previously reported that Swift would use the short gap in her tour schedule to fly home from South America to join her family for the American festivity.

She was also rumoured to attend the recent Kansas City Chiefs game against her long-term team, the Philadelphia Eagles. However, Machado’s devastating death and catastrophic weather conditions have seemingly forced Swift to stay put in São Paulo.

“The Brazil concerts … [Swift] is devastated about a fan dying,” an insider revealed to Page Six. “The weather is extreme. It’s a mess she didn’t expect. It’s been a traumatic experience. It’s been a lot,” they added. “She is going to decide today,” the source added in reference to her decision to stay put or head home during the minuscule break between shows.

Swift is reportedly currently in the Brazilian city after leaving Rio de Janeiro earlier the week following a slew of calamities. Her commitments in  São Paulo are the final Eras Tour shows slated for 2023, though Swift has promised to reschedule the two postponed shows in both Rio and Buenos Aires, Argentina.

According to USWeekly, Kelce has been a “huge support system” for Swift during this time, with a source adding she is “grateful” for his unwavering presence. “Her family has been there, but it’s different to have a boyfriend to lean on,” they added.

Swift acknowledged Machado’s death with a social media post in the hours following her hospitalisation. Swift also honoured her legacy by dedicating her song “Bigger Than The Whole Sky” to her memory.

Swift might not be coming home to the “guy on the Chiefs” for this holiday, but with cuffing season still underway, we’re sure there will be many Christmas and New Year’s sightings of Traylor.
