I feel like I’ve lived three lifetimes since Taylor Swift and Katy Perry’s feud began. It’s really only been five years – but that’s a lifetime in the celebrity news cycle, for sure.

So it’s kind of incredible, then, to see Taylor finally, actually, absolutely confirm that her and Katy are all good again, after Katy has tried and tried again to make-up with her frenemy.

On Friday Swift snuffed out any lingering rumours of bad blood by including Perry’s new song Never Really Over, which dropped on Friday, on her ME! Apple Music playlist.

“Everything that happens to us is just part of a story we’ll tell someday. These songs are the soundtrack to my story at the moment,” Swift said of her playlist. “I love this playlist for kitchen dance parties, long drives home, sun-soaked reflection, or aggressive bopping. All songs have been loved and appreciated by ME!”

I didn’t know if we’d ever see this day after Katy extended a literal olive branch, only for Taylor to share it on Instagram, upsetting Katy. After that I thought there was no hope for these two lost souls. But at last, we’re here. The feud is over.

Be right back, just going to find some white doves to release, hiring a small aircraft to write the news in the sky, and popping an enormous bottle of champagne and pouring it all over myself in a pool.

Because at times such as these, one must ask oneself: what would DJ Khaled do?
