It’s not a title we throw around lightly but Taylor Russell is quickly becoming a bonafide style icon. Overnight the Canadian actress attended the 2022 Gotham Awards in New York City and doing away with the black tie dress code chose to wear the most perfect Y2K-esque ensemble. Jeans and a nice (we mean really nice) top.

Styled by Ryan Hastings, Russell walked the red carpet in an archival Tom Ford-era Spring 2004 Gucci fur bolero from Aralda Vintage and paired with classic Levi’s ribcage jeans and strappy heels.

Since bursting on the scene for the newly-released drama Bones and All alongside Timothée Chalamet, the actress has frequented the vintage outpost for archival Ralph Lauren and Vivienne Westwood. Some of her most breathtaking red carpet looks have also included Fall 2022 Schiaparelli and Summer 2023 Loewe.

The Gotham Awards are an annual ceremony dedicated to highlighting exceptional talent in independent film with Russell nominated for Outstanding Lead Performance for her recent film. Bones and All is directed by Luca Guadagnino and follows two teenage cannibals who travel throughout 1980s America in search of a family member.

The film made a global premiere at the Venice Film Festival this year and has since amassed a huge fan fare with crowds shutting down the Italian premiere earlier this month due to safety concerns.

Russell is no stranger to Hollywood however and has appeared in films such as Before I Fall, Hot Air and Escape Room. On the red carpet and in film, she is certainly one to watch.
