Sydney Sweeney would like to you to know that when it comes to beauty, she’s nothing like Cassie. At least that’s what we’ve ascertained from the Euphoria star’s marked style shift, which has seen Sweeney embrace an edgier aesthetic than her infamous character on the HBO show.

After recently darkening her hair to a new hue that’s far closer to her natural brunette colour than Cassie’s blonde, Sweeney’s latest manicure is closer to the graphic looks sported by her character’s rival Maddy (who is of course played to perfection on the show by Alexa Demie).

As the star’s nail artist Zola Ganzorigt shared on Instagram, she’s now sporting a set of nails with monochrome nail art, which feature hand-painted shapes and swirls for a unique take on the classic black and white design. It also appears that she’s returned to her creamy blonde hair colour, albeit with a Sixties-inspired flipped hairstyle.

We’ve got whiplash from this sudden change, but as Sweeney recently revealed a new interview with Bustle, she loves to switch things up – particularly when it comes to her nails. “I’m obsessed with fun nails; I change my nails like every two days,” she said.

“It’s something I’ve always loved. I remember in middle school, I used to sit on my bathroom floor with all of my little nail art and try to do my own nails before I went to school. I consider my nails another accessory.”

The star, who dyed her signature honey locks a strawberry blonde hue only weeks ago, also revealed that her while her nails are naturally healthy, her hair needs extra help. “It’s so weird; my nails grow super fast, but my hair doesn’t,” the 24-year-old said. “It’s been a battle of trying to get my hair to be healthy. I’ve been working on it [and] it’s getting better.”

Sweeney says one of the most impactful tweaks she made for hair health was switching up her shower-head for a filtered iteration, which is said to be better for our locks. “One of the biggest changes [to my hair routine] is this shower head [that I got from Amazon] that filters the water,” she revealed.

“The water isn’t as harsh and there are not as many chemicals in it. That has changed everything.”

We’ll take 10, thanks.
