It’s Sydney Sweeney‘s night, and don’t we know it. The first-time Emmy nominee is up for not one but two awards thanks to her star turns in The White Lotus and Euphoria, and she dressed for the well-deserved spotlight.
Fronting up to the red carpet in an ornate Oscar De La Renta gown, Sweeney teamed her show-stopping dress with relaxed hair and makeup for the ultimate lesson in laidback glamour.
Soft, effortlessly undone waves framed the actor’s face, which was subtly defined by long lashes, an almost imperceptible cat-eye, groomed arches and delicate pink lips, ensuring all the focus fell on her embellished dress.
The gown featured a fitted floor-length silhouette, with added drama via an exaggerated bustle and low cut at the back. Shimmering florals adorned the fabric, rounding out a fittingly glitzy look for the talented young star.
Sweeney recently told IndieWire that she still can’t quite believe all the recognition she’s receiving from the industry. “I’m still in the ‘Is this happening? Is this real?’ phase,” she told the outlet.
She continued, “Being able to be in a category where I’m nominated amongst incredible dream actresses of mine, I will still forever be starstruck.”
