Olivia Palermo Reinvents The Lace Shift Dress At Paris Haute Couture Week
All the incredible street style from off the runway
There is nothing more extravagant, fabulous or simply beautiful than haute couture and twice a year designers are afforded the opportunity to present the most intricate and complex collections from the French capital. Day one of Paris Haute Couture Week alone has already showcased spectacular embroidery work from Dior and flawless draping from Schiaparelli. All the fashionable theatrics could not be contained on the runway however and like years gone by, have permeated onto the cobblestone streets. Indeed as one fashion editor mentioned this morning, even the most bizarre sartorial pieces are at home with couture street style.
American socialite and influencer Olivia Palermo was by no means extravagant, but perfectly reinvented head-to-lace in a vibrant minty green for Giambattista Valli. Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez was also in attendance for the Italian designer in a floral chiffon gown. While Julia Fox walked the runway, Coco Rocha walked the Parisian streets in an other-worldly lace dress for Iris Van Herpen. At Schiaparelli, the likes of Hunter Schafer and Emma Watson were dressed the Daniel Roseberry’s larger-than-life creations.
When it comes to street style, almost anything goes – but make it couture. See our favourite looks so far, below.
