The monotone pants suit trend that dominated 2017 has evolved, and the result certainly not for the faint-hearted. Heading up the charge was blogger, actor and GRAZIA magazine cover girl Sarah Ellen, who proves garishly patterned two-pieces are the new definition of street smart.
The petite 20-year-old Australian, who starred on GRAZIA’s March 2017 print edition, arrived at the Miu Miu show at Paris Fashion Week in a two-piece suit by Frame with a pattern that could best be described as faded Persian rug. A statement sleeve, Stuart Weizman stilettos, Miu Miu clutch and simple low ponytail completed the look.

Unsurprisingly, the street style photographers had a field day. Little wonder the trend has become a firm favourite for actors and singers on red carpets of late too.
While a statement floral or ornate design is the only print prerequisite, the shape of your tailored suit is what signals your style cred. Think tailored jacket with a deep V-neck and fitted, cropped pants with a slight flare (a flash of skin and ideally stiletto sandals keeps things chic and sexy).
