It’s the smell of sunscreen sizzling in the blistering heat, the soft crash of waves lapping at the shore and slow sunsets in the balmy evening. As the northern hemisphere edges ever so closely to fall, Australia sits at the bottom of the globe soaking up every teasing moment of a forthcoming summer. Fashion house Saint Laurent has recognised this notion and, conceived by creative director Anthony Vaccarello, has ushered in new seasonal products for a never ending summer.

Exclusively available Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores in Paris and Los Angeles and online, the French Maison has unveiled a brand new series of swimwear, accessories, home décor and summeresque memorabilia – an extension of the brand’s runway collections. Among these unique items is a black New Era cap with a colourful “Saint Laurent” logo and decorative objects echoing the Berber life, including vases and plates by Emaux de Longwy.

I thought I would never see the day where the luxury brand created chic pool floats, but suddenly I’m ready to deflate the beloved flamingo for something a little fashion forward. Likewise, the newly-release collection boasts a series of brand adorned surf boards and skateboards (made for entirely fashion and not function if you us ask).

In true vacation culture, Saint Laurent has spared no expense to feature art-driven postcards, badge pins and reusable coffee mugs as well a single-use film cameras to snap candid moments. Accompanying the collection, is a series of sun drenched moments captured by the fashion house and personally, will be immediately added to my summer mood board.

‘The Heat’ collection follows the house’s recent collaboration between Vaccarello and French electronic musician, artist and producer SebastiAn for a series of vinyls pulled from past runway music. In fact, you can listen to some of the tracks here. All while building your Saint Laurent-fuelled wardrobe here.
