As a brand hailing from Sydney, it is no easy feat capturing a global market. But for sister duo Hayley and Jayde Hall, who founded Luv Lou in 2018, they can proudly count the likes of Elsa Hosk and Jennifer Lawrence as fans. Emmy award-winning television presenter Renée Bargh recognised this affinity for the brand when she lived in Los Angeles for nearly a decade, telling GRAZIA, “anytime I’d wear them over there I’d get a million questions and compliments”.

Now residing home in Australia it feels fitting that Bargh has become the latest collaborator for Luv Lou, releasing a chic and timeless capsule of sunglasses this season. Bargh was inspired by a collection of vintage pairs she already owned but wanted to update the shape for a slightly more modern take. What resulted is an offering of four new exclusive styles – the Delilah, Lola, Poppy and Goldie – in a selection of understated shades including chocolate, almond, gold and classic tortoise shell. It was important for The Today Show host to create a collection that was also versatile.

“In my opinion sunglasses can make or break an outfit – they’re almost a statement piece, and say a lot about your personal style.”

“I reside on the northern beaches [of Sydney] and spend many of my days here barefoot on the beach or out in nature but then also work in the city,” she said. “I attend and host events and TV, and my wardrobe is very different depending on my schedule. I wanted to create a line that reflects that but is also versatile depending on your style.”

Bargh also served as muse for the accompanying campaign, showcasing the versatility of the sunglasses from day to evening, workwear to weekend, and park to playdate (she is due to be a new mum this summer!). “I’m looking for a classic colour and shape that will transition well from season to season,” she explained. “Something timeless and not too trendy that will be versatile and work well either paired with a sarong and bikini but also with a suit or more tailored pieces and that’s what I believe we created with this collaboration.”

In a continuation of recent Winter 2022 styles, the collaborative pieces are made with polarised lenses made from plant-based acetate and ensures the sunglasses are biodegradable and with sustainability top of mind. Luv Lou x Renee Bargh is available to purchase now exclusively from luvlou.com.au.
