The 93rd Academy Awards are well and truly underway, and one of the most breathtaking looks thus far: Regina King.
Dressed in powder blue custom Louis Vuitton by Nicolas Ghesquière, the If Beale Street Could Talk actress looked incredible (as per usual).
The column dress was embellished with intricate crystal beading, plus the most beautiful scalloped neckline. It’s a fitting choice in line with the Oscars 2021 dress code: a fusion of Inspiration and Aspirational (i.e. no sweats).
Second only to the gown is King’s beauty look. Larry Sims styled her sleek, shoulder-grazing bob, whereas makeup artist Latrice Johnson crafted the most beautiful smokey eye. Using a soft purple-looking hue, Johnson shaded in her entire lid before rimming it with thick black kohl. King’s skin was matte and flawless, with a subdued berry lip to top it off.
The icing on top of the delicious Vuitton/King cake was a smattering of diamonds from Forevermark. Opulent and glamorous, King is the epitome of red carpet glamour. And while not directly nominated, she’s a clear winner in the sartorial stakes.
