Paris Hilton has revealed the name of her son with husband Carter Reum after sharing news of his birth in late January.
Hilton chose to reveal her baby boy’s name on the February 22 episode of her podcast, This Is Paris. “My beautiful baby boy’s name is Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum,” she said. “Carter and I are so proud to welcome him into the world.”
Hilton went on to explain that she’s been planning the names of her future children for years, and because she wants to name her future daughter London, she wanted to stick with the theme and give her son the name of a city, too.
She says that Phoenix means “hope, rebirth and transformation” for her, and that her son’s middle name Barron is in honour of her late grandfather, Barron Hilton. “He was always my mentor, and I looked up to my grandfather so much, and we were so close, and I miss him every day, so I really wanted to honour him by having his name in my first son’s name.”
Paris Hilton and Carter Reum welcomed Phoenix in January via surrogate, revealing his birth via Instagram with a post of Hilton holding his hand.
Since that post, Hilton and Reum haven’t shared any information about Phoenix – but E! News has learned that Paris Hilton will discuss his birth at length in her upcoming memoir, Paris: The Memoir, which will be released on March 14.
Hilton and Reum started dating in late 2019, and were engaged in February 2021. They got married that November, and Paris Hilton has remained very transparent about her fertility experience, telling TMZ in November 2022 that she had “tons of embryos that have all just been waiting,” and was in the process of IVF.
Phoenix is Carter Reum’s second child – he shares a 10-year-old with Laura Bellizzi, news of which was made public around the time he and Hilton got married. “The people who this story matters to have known about it for 10 years,” Reum’s rep told Page Six at the time. “Carter supports this child. While he does not have a traditional father-daughter relationship with her, he has provided for her since she was born, and will continue to do so.”
