Lily Collins is currently on the promo trail for her instantly-iconic Netflix show Emily In Paris, and it appears the star has now taken her appreciation for the city that both inspired and confused her character one step further.

As the actor revealed on her Instagram page, hairstylist Gregory Russell recently gave her signature brunette locks a chic Parisian twist. Collins debuted a set of sweeping, lash-skimming bangs, which closely resemble the classic ‘French girl fringe’ cut, with the caption “Bangin’…”

Many assumed the fresh chop was the result of a temporary clip-in fringe, but Collins was quick to clarify in her next post, in which she posed alongside her co-star Ashley Park for press duties.

New bangs, old habits. Yup, they’re real! Back at it with @ashleyparklady for our @emilyinparis press day,” she wrote in the accompanying caption. The wispy fringe was complemented by some face-framing layers, which hung loosely from Collins’ trés chic low bun.

The cut comes after Collins was seen lopping off the lengths of her own hair in a recent promotional video for a cover shoot. Although the star seemed very comfortable hacking into her hair, she doesn’t appear to have been brave enough to cut her own bangs, as Russell later revealed his expert handiwork on Instagram.

The second season of Emily In Paris isn’t set to premiere for another few weeks, but the anticipation is higher than ever. Beauty giant Lancôme even created a makeup, skincare and fragrance range inspired by the trademark Parisian beauty aesthetic, which ties in seamlessly with Collins’ new cut.

The holiday collection, called For the Love of Paris, channels Collins’ character Emily Cooper, with an edit of cosmetics that feature limited-edition sets and Parisian packaging.
