Now that we’re officially a quarter of the way through 2022 (I know – I’m so sorry to break it to you!), the business of beauty is once again booming after a quiet few months. It seems brands are done waiting for the world to course-correct, and have instead decided to forge ahead with a spate of new makeup and skincare launches.

While it’s obviously not a fix for global unease, we’re ready to take any form of escapism on offer – so if you’re looking for a little retail respite, read on for GRAZIA‘s edit of the latest and greatest launches in beauty right now.

Alpha-H Hyaluronic 8 Super Serum with PrimalHyal Ultrafiller, $79.95 SHOP NOW

It might just feel like water when in the palm of your hand, but not all hyaluronic acids are made equal. This new multi-weighted formula includes a blend of eight different hydrating ingredients that work on both an instant and long-term timeline. You’ll notice less fine lines within minutes of application, but the formula will work to increase hydration levels with continuous use.

NARS Light Reflecting Foundation, $73 SHOP NOW

The foundation that everyone’s talking about, and yes – it is that good. As someone with an oily-combo skin type that’s prone to breakouts, I wasn’t sure if the finish would be a little too radiant for me, but it’s the perfect balance. It has enough coverage that my acne and any texture can be camouflaged, but it also allows my skin to breathe. It contains a whole host of skincare ingredients that are said to improve the clarity and tone of the skin. For a more in-depth take, GRAZIA‘s Emily reviewed the new formula here.

Cultured Biome One Serum, $108 SHOP NOW

The skincare world is abuzz with conversation concerning the skin barrier, which is likely a direct symptom of the 10-step routines we all indulged in through recent years. As it turns out, all those acids and retinols we started layering on with abandon may actually have done some damage, so now we’re all about building resilience within the skin’s first line of defence – the micro-biome. My perpetually-compromised barrier loves this new serum from self-described ‘biomecare’ brand, Cultured. It’s light, gentle and hydrating, but the mix of pre- and postbiotics really pack a punch to help rejuvenate my worn-out skin.

Laniege Water Sleeping Mask, $48 SHOP NOW

This reformulated favourite offers skin intensive hydration while you sleep. As the name suggests, it feels liquid-light to apply, but quickly soaks in overnight so that you wake with softer, smoother skin by morning. Oily skin types will particularly appreciate the weightless hydration, but it works for all skin types. It’s that good.

Dior LA MOUSSE OFF/ON FOAMING CLEANSER, $66 SHOP NOW

Even the most persistent makeup is no match for this impressive cleanser, which lands in store from March 21. The formula contains the purifying Nymphéa water lily from Dior’s Latour-Marliac garden, which is able to detoxify the skin and strip away makeup, SPF and the invisible effects of pollution, without compromising the skin’s comfort. A soothing hit of cornflower water complex and liquorice extract ensures the skin barrier remains hydrated and unharmed.
