If you thought Margot Robbie was locking up the Barbie closet after her viral press tour, you’d be wrong. As proven at yesterday’s Golden Globes, the actress is still down to make a hot pink splash as she relishes in the film’s success this awards season. Only, for this evening in particular, she not only chanelled the titular character, but also seemingly played into the cultural phenomenon of ‘Barbenheimer’—a portmanteu of ‘Barbie‘ and ‘Oppenheimer‘, which took the world by storm when the two blockbusters were announced to share a release date.

While on the red carpet, Robbie stunned in a custom Armani Privé bold pink sequinned floor-length gown with a mesh boa and pointed pink pumps. As shared by her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, the 33-year-old’s look was an elegant reimagining of Mattel’s 1977 doll, Superstar Barbie—adding to her long line of Barbie-inspired ensembles.

Later on, for the after party, however, Robbie tapped into her Oppenheimer alter-ego in another custom number that seemed to resemble her daytime look, only inverted.

With the same thin-strap V-neckline and bias cut (only this one cut off at the ankles) and coordinating boa, the actress stepped out in an identical sequined black dress.

Mukamal then posted the inspiration behind the polar opposite look: another Barbie doll from the same year titled ‘Black & Silver Shimmer’ Barbie.

Just like the real iterations, the doll’s evening look boasted a tea-length cut and black Mary-Jane platforms to match. It’s not the first time that this Barbie has traded in pink for black—she wore a ’60s-inspired black gown to the film’s Los Angeles premiere—but this is the first time she’s worn contrasting looks back-to-back and we’re sure Christopher Nolan would approve.

While the awards season won’t last too long, we’ll be waiting with bated breath for Robbie’s next Barbie take.
