We see them on the runway, in backstage images, on the streets in the arms of fashion editors and blogging stars, and even in edgy campaign shots like this one captured in Ibiza below, but who’s really seen a cult bag stripped back to its bare bones?
Spanish luxury brand Loewe, which masters in leather goods, has just released this cute short video showing the step-by-step process used to make the mini version of its cult Gate bag.
The micro-sized purse, which made its first public appearance on the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2018 show runway, features the same signature saddle-inspired shape, namesake side hinge-pin and knotted detail of its older sister, but at a pinch of the size.
Already available in two other larger sizes – shown in this handful snap above – the Mini Gate also comes in an expanded gamut of colours and fabric combinations and is available from Loewe stores now.
