Last week, Loewe officially opened the doors to its new Melbourne store at the iconic 161 Collins St address.

Making up the largest retail footprint for the brand in Australia, the store houses the first physical menswear, as well as the largest womenswear range in Australia, along with all the leather goods, accessories and home details you could possibly want.

Just as with any good designer fit-out, the space is highly curated with art and textiles from around the world. From the moment you step in through the towering glass doors, visitors are warmed by the warm colour palette and easy design that is as inviting as it is inspiring—a true reflection of the brand itself.

On the inside, soft hues like pale pink, sage green and taupe playfully contrast with primary tones and the vibrant designs of creative director Jonathan Anderson. Much like the clothes they house, the interiors are pristine but thoughtfully materialised in a relaxed setting to suit the layered needs of modern life.

The luxury fashion house’s divine array of bags is on full display, and shoes can be found perched on a cerulean blue tiled shelf for your perusal.

Of course, homewares, including throw rugs, candles and scents, have a place in the store, as well as the brand’s iconic range of funky eyewear.

To celebrate the grand opening, Loewe hosted friends of the brand to peep the new store, followed by an after-party at MoVido Next Door. DJ Dijok Mai provided the tunes while partygoers, including Sophie Wilde, Rhys Kosakowski, Lyndon Watts, Jerome Farah and Johnny Manuel, enjoyed delectable Spanish tapas.
