As the most low-key member of the world’s highest-key family, Kourtney Kardashian’s style choices are largely overlooked. Which I, personally, think is a mistake. For every questionable latex bodysuit there is a carefully crafted and genuinely chic ensemble. The woman has undeniable fashion chops. Case in point? The outfit she wore to ‘run errands’ with new BFF Addison Rae yesterday, during a particularly dreary New York afternoon.
Kardashian wore an oversized beige trench with black piping, Prada’s culty ‘Monolith’ combat boots, and a mini Hermès Birkin. An enduring fixture of any stylish woman’s wardrobe, the trench never really goes ‘in’ or ‘out’ of fashion. Having said that, trenches did feature prominently at the spring summer ’21 shows this season, with Coach, Paco Rabanne, Louis Vuitton and, naturally, Burberry all sending iterations down the runway.
Karashian was hanging out with Addison Rae when she was photographed, Rae being the 20-year-old TikTok sensation that Kourtney has recently struck up an unlikely friendship with. The two reportedly became close after Kardashian reached out to Rae, hoping she would meet her 10-year-old son Mason, who is a die-hard fan. They met in May, and soon after Kardashian began appearing in Rae’s viral videos, with the pair referring to each other as ‘besties’. Rae, who has 65 million followers on TikTok, wore leather patent leather trousers and a ribbed beige shirt.
The duo have been inseparable recently, being photographed together on multiple occasions in the last few days while hanging out in New York City. On one occasion they wore matching Prada shoes, and contrasting blazer dresses. During another, Kardashian wore a silk Bottega Veneta shirt dress with Manolo Blahnik sandals.
Persistent rumours have suggested that Kourtney, whose own reality TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians wrapped up after 13 years and 20 seasons in September, may be gearing Rae up for a reality TV career of her own. It would certainly go some way to explaining the constant publicity surrounding the pair—but either way, we’re glad to see the outfits.
