There is nothing more sobering in your mid-twenties than opening social media to find that your high school acquaintances are pregnant or engaged. Particularly when that very same evening you chose between cooking or eating toast for dinner… again. So let me further give you reason for at the very least using an eye cream when I announce that Riverdale alumni KJ Apa is expecting a child with his girlfriend and gorgeous French model, Clara Berry.
Posting to Instagram in a very nonchalant fashion, the 23-year-old actor shared a grainy image of himself and Berry’s pregnant belly. The post was absent of a caption. 27-year-old Berry shared her own series of images of the bump while she posed in a window, wearing a Fendi tracksuit set.
ICON cover star Hart Denton also shared a number of loved-up images to his own social media, captioned with “surrounded by life and love”. Apa confirmed his romance with Berry back in February 2020 when he went ‘Instagram official’ with the model.
Apa is not the only Riverdale star to be expecting. Vanessa Morgan who plays ‘Toni’ in the series welcomed a baby boy, River, earlier this year. The actress commented on Apa’s aforementioned announcement post writing, “Rivers soon to be bestie ♥️.”
Yep, we definitely need to start using eye cream more regularly (these are our editor’s favourites).
As expected, 2020 has brought in a celebrity baby boom post-pandemic. We’re already obsessed with Gigi Haddi and Zayn Malik’s bub, Khai. Elsewhere, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be expecting a daughter soon, Naomi Campbell just gave birth, Ellie Goulding gave birth to her first child earlier this year and Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards just announced she too was pregnant.
