Kylie Jenner might’ve skipped the Met Gala red carpet this year, but she also wasn’t entirely absent either. Sister Kendall Jenner and momager Kris ensured the pregnant star was still well-represented, with both wearing a full face of Kylie Cosmetics to the iconic event. As Jenner’s makeup artist Mary Phillips revealed on Instagram, the supermodel’s stunning look was entirely created using her sister’s Kylie Skin and Kylie Cosmetics products.
Phillips’ inspiration for the look was glowing skin coupled with a romantic cat eye for a modern take on old Hollywood glamour. She then prepped Jenner’s complexion with the Kylie Skin Face Moisturizer ($40) to smooth and hydrate the skin, before applying the brand’s Eye Cream ($35) to brighten and de-puff the eye area. She also buffed Jenner’s lips with the Sugar Lip Scrub ($20) and added some radiance to her limbs with the brand’s Coconut Body Lotion ($40) mixed with the Kylie Cosmetics Body Glow in All Gold ($24).
For the 818 founder’s base, Phillips warmed up the complexion using the Kylie Cosmetics Khaki Pressed Bronzing Powder ($18). Next she used a combination of Pressed Powder Blush in shades Winter Kissed and Pink Dreams ($18) on the cheeks for a rosy pink flush, with the brand’s Kylighter Highlighting Powder in Dreamin in Diamonds ($24) on the tops of the cheeks and down the bridge of the nose for a soft golden glow.
Next Phillips applied the new 24k Birthday Collection Pressed Powder Palette ($60), blending a wash of the shades Make A Wish and Pull Up across the lid. To get the cat-eye effect, she defined the crease and outer area of the lid with the shade Moments In Time to softly smoke out the eye, diffusing the excess along the lower lash line and outwards past the eye for a soft bottom wing.
The upper wing was created with a gentle smudge of the Gel Liner Pencil in Matte Black, defining the upper lashes by placing Kyliner Brush Tip Liquid Eyeliner Pen ($18) in between the lashes. Phillips then feathered the Kybrow Pencil ($16) through the model’s arches, topped with the Clear Brow Gel to keep each hair in place.
Finally, Phillips lightly over-lined Jenner’s lips with the Kylie Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Forever And Always($12), topped with Matte Liquid Lipstick in Angel ($17) which was lightly pressed on using a finger. She finished the look with a slick of the brand’s High Gloss in Like ($16). Kardashian matriarch Kris also wore Kylie Cosmetics look, with brushed-up brows, glossy lips and statement eyeliner.
We love this sweet supportive moment from the famous family, but more importantly? We’re thrilled that we can add Kendall’s entire Met Gala makeup look to cart in a single click here.
