Florida has found itself at home amongst the zeitgeist as of late. Not only has the sunshine state earned Taylor Swift dubbing it “one hell of a drug”, but it’s also played host to Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny’s reported reconciliation. Indeed, the supermodel and Grammy Award-winning rapper were caught rekindling their romance over a meal at the upmarket Gekko Japanese Steakhouse in Miami, which the Puerto Rican musician also happens to co-own.
As per reports, the 818 Tequila founder joined Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, for a late-night private dinner after his performance earlier in the evening. They were allegedly escorted to the VIP room where they dined for nearly 90 minutes and left together just after midnight.
As per first-hand accounts, they did not show any “outward signs of affection” but “still seemed to be a couple”. For the occasion, Jenner donned her signature discrete off-duty uniform of a white ribbed tank top and low-rise black trousers. (See pictures here!)
Their rendezvous comes a mere fortnight since they were spotted sitting side-by-side at Emily Ratajkowski and Paloma Elsesser’s Aprés Met after party in New York.
The couple officially split in December after nearly a year of dating, with Jenner marking the occasion through a series of ‘hot girl winter’ ensembles. (Including a slew of holiday-appropriate Bottega Veneta trench coats and textured mini dresses that will justly receive airtime in the upcoming fifth season of The Kardashians).
The pair didn’t spend that much time apart following their breakup however as they rang in the new year with Justin and Hailey Bieber in Barbados. The supposedly official word is that they’re both currently single but “still in contact and spend time together when they can”. As per an insider: “There’s a strong connection between them whenever they’re together and they have the same chemistry that they’ve always had.”
Jenner was also seen fulfilling her rapper girlfriend fantasy by attending one of Bunny’s recent performances in Florida while wearing his merch. Yes, Swift was right in calling the southeast tip intoxicating, but can that be blamed for bringing Jenner and Bad Bunny back together? Either way, at least their trysts are a great excuse to use their Gucci Valigeria luggage!
