2021 has quickly become the year of unexpected hook-ups. The next instalment? Kanye West and Irina Shayk.
In late May the rumour mill was turning after sources close to anonymous celebrity gossip Instagram account @DeuxMoi revealed the rapper was “dating” the 35-year-old model. Another source had interjected the account to assure that while West was “courting” the Shayk, they were in fact just friends. Keeping up?
In the land of celebrity gossip, PR schemes and fake news, we were happy to take the news with a grain of salt. That is until Daily Mail published a gallery of paparazzi images of the pair in France. The pictures are not a whole to go on particularly with no PDA spotted but onlookers tell another story.
“They were taking pictures of each other and the sculptures,” an eyewitness told E! News. “They looked incredibly happy and relaxed. It was just them and a few friends.”
Daily Mail reports that the couple were staying at a luxury villa across three nights – one of those evenings being West’s 44th birthday.
Another source believed this was just one occasion of many where the couple have spent time together in recent weeks. “They have been seeing each other for several weeks,” the source said. “Kanye has been flying in and out of New York to be with her.”
On February 19 it was reported Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce from West. They share four children. As for Irina Shayk and ex Bradley Cooper, the couple split in June 2019. They share 4-year-old daughter, Lea.
Another source for E! News says Kardashian does not mind West dating Shayk at all.
“Kim has heard the rumors about Kanye and Irina Shayk and she doesn’t mind at all. If it doesn’t impact her kids, then she doesn’t mind if Kanye dates.”
