Looks like Kacey Musgraves found her way to Sesame Street.
Ahead of show’s 52nd season, the 32-year-old country music star teased her appearance on an episode set to air sometime in the new year. In a series of snaps posted to Instagram, the six-time Grammy winner is seen hanging out with the iconic puppet cast including Big Bird, Elmo, Oscar the Grouch, Count von Count, Segi and Abby Cadabby.
Styled by Erica Cloud, the “Follow Your Arrow” singer visited the colorful crew wearing a super cute, powder blue Gucci Pre-Fall 2020 ensemble that included a button-up jacket with a tie-waist and tailored trousers. A Kangol hat, pointed-toe Pierre Hardy pumps and Alison Lou jewelry finished off the retro-inspired look.
Musgraves is hardly the first country star to have joined the beloved Jim Henson characters on the children’s show. Carrie Underwood, Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Garth Brooks, Loretta Lynn, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Thomas Rhett, Brad Paisley, Johnny Cash, Trisha Yearwood and The Chicks have all made appearances throughout the five decades of the show. Other famous faces who have guest- starred on the show recently include Katy Perry, Stephen Curry, Billy Porter, Issa Rae, Hailee Steinfeld, Misty Copeland, Dave Grohl, Charlie Puth and Chrissy Teigen.
This isn’t the first time Musgraves has hung out with the Sesame Street gang. In May, she appeared on the inaugural episode of The Not-Too-Late Show With Elmo. On the adorable HBO series, the Texas native came out to entertain the studio audience – a mix of humans and puppets – with an acoustic version of “Rubber Duckie,” the ode to a bathtub companion made famous by longtime Sesame Street resident Ernie in 1970.
For her sweet appearance, the “Space Cowboy” crooner wore a cheery yellow long-sleeved mini-dress by A.L.C styled with matching neon yellow Stuart Weitzman “Nudist” sandals and colorful bracelets.
