Jennifer Lopez spent her 53rd birthday on her honeymoon in the city of love. Joined by new husband Ben Affleck, the supernova was spotted leaving the illustrious Hôtel de Crillon and spent the day strolling by the Louvre, lunching at a nearby restaurant in the 27-degree heat and perusing a nearby Dior store (for a birthday gift, perhaps?).
The couple were also joined by Affleck’s 16-year-old daughter, Violet, who was noticeably absent from the stars’ July 16 wedding in Vegas. The teenager reportedly skipped out on the nuptials out of respect for her mother, actress (and TikTok pure delight) Jennifer Garner.
In a Magenta pink halter, nude platform heels and her favourite Valentino Garavani One Stud bag, Lopez looked really happy and in love – the outing a notable departure from her usual flashy birthday fare (remember the gold-studded extravaganza inside a Miami nightclub at her 50th?)
The family-moon has seen many a blended family moment. Lopez’s 14-year-old twins Max and Emme, and Violet, were spotted on board a luxury boat as it cruised the Seine River. If you were on your phone across the weekend, you would have noticed a new meme floating about the internet: Ben Affleck sound asleep on the boat’s deck, a sure-fire replacement for those “Sad Affleck” memes which took the internet by storm in 2016 after his film Batman VS Superman: The Dawn Of Justice flopped in cinemas.
On Saturday night (and after the 49-year-old Gone Girl director’s snooze), the newlyweds dressed up and reportedly visited Plénitude restaurant before heading to at Berthillon ice cream shop on the Île Saint-Louis.
Lopez really is living her best life, and we couldn’t be happier for her.
