Irina Shayk has well and truly cemented her position as a purveyor of difficult trends. From a mustard yellow coat to Clueless-inspired sets, the Russian model even convinced us to try low rise jeans. Seriously. Her next appearance was perhaps just as polarising but oh so glam as she opted for thigh-high boots and a lime green bikini in Ibiza.
Taking to social media, Shayk posed poolside in a jet black pair of Burberry Porthole Detail Leather Wader Boots. The style which featured on the Spring/Summer 2021 runway and measures at a towering 110mm is an ode to the house’s maritime influences. So really, it only makes sense to see the style not in the snow-covered streets of New York City but on the coast of Spain.
Shayk was in attendance with Italian designer and Burberry’s chief creative officer, Riccardo Tisci who celebrated his birthday last weekend. The incredible boots received even more air time paired with a silky LBD at night. The model partied with the designer and a series of other A-listers including Kate Moss.
It is already obvious that Shayk has a penchant for boots in summer (like this ensemble) and it appears Bella Hadid has the same idea. The 24-year-old was recently spotted in a ’90s-esque set and chunky gum boots while Lady Gaga masterfully navigated the blistering heat in extravagant sky-high boots. Brave if you ask us.
In other Irina Shayk news, it is believed that her romance with Kanye West has ended.
“[Shayk’ likes [West] as a friend, but doesn’t want a relationship with him,” a source told Page Six. “She doesn’t want the association that they are dating, which is what would have run in the press if she showed up [in Paris with him]. They added, “It would have been another month of news saying that they are dating.”
If her European vacation is anything to go by, Shayk is living her best life.
