At the long-awaited return of Coachella this April, celebrities and influencers proved that gone are the days of sequins and barley there festival ensembles. Instead, A-listers flocked to the desert (like they had since the dawn of Instagram’s time) with a more pared-back and low-key aesthetic. Case in point: Emma Chamberlain chose to wear grey marle sweatpants.

Amid the weekend’s most fashionable was Irina Shayk, who combined an approachable sense of normcore with a little glamour. Just when we thought all the Coachella content was finished for another year, the Russian-born model shared a rolodex of snaps wearing a white t-shirt underneath a sheer crystal midi dress, brown Burberry boots and a white crossbody Burberry bag. Pants, not included. She was also photographed hand-in-hand with the Burberry creative director, Riccardo Tisci.

“Chelling last Sunday…” she wrote on Instagram. The look follows a slew of casual ensembles from the long weekend which also featured distressed Burberry overalls and checked over shirts.

Shayk has long been an ambassador for the British fashion house whether it’s on the red carpet at a film premiere or poolside, in knee-high boots.

In 2021 the model was thrust into the spotlight for more than her sartorial endeavours. She was romantically linked to Kanye West last June when she was spotted in Provence, France for his 44th birthday. They were rumoured to be dating for just two months before the sudden breakup. A source for US Weekly said at the time that the split was mutual and sparked by Shayk and West realising “they aren’t great romantic partners.”

“Kanye and Irina are over, but they never really started, there’s nothing going on there,” the source said.

The brief romance follows her divorce from award-winning actor Bradley Cooper in 2019.
