Australian brand Calli the Label has made a name for itself as a provider of flippant, feminine, party-worthy fast fashion, but the subject of its newest campaign is a poster girl for pure rebellious cool.
Model Zoe Cross, who has a cult following for her digital platform Cross and Bone and is best known for her swimsuit snap career, is the face of Calli’s Spring Summer 2017 brand imagery.

Nothing about Cross is status quo. Cross and Bone is a gritty, realistic visual diary of the 5 foot 5 Sydneysider’s socially hectic life. Her Instagram features anywhere from one to a mere half a dozen images at a time. (Seriously, see for yourself). Even the answers she offers to GRAZIA’s interview questions below are an insight into her dry humour.
Still, she’s the edgy yin to Calli’s sweet yang in the campaign images shot by photographer Yasmin Suteja, who is the founder of creative agency Culture Machine and has almost as many social followers as Cross. (Actually, it’s more if you add her personal and @culturemachine accounts.) Read on for our quick and candid chat with Cross.
