OK people, meet your new TikTok queen. Kylie Jenner – beauty mogul, reality TV star, billion-dollar baby – can now add professional TikTok-er to her lofty resume, uploading a series of really quite hilarious videos to her Instagram overnight. The montage features eight excerpts from “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”, where along with BFF Anastasia Karanikolaou, Jenner acts out scenes between her sisters on the show.
Highlights include Kim asking Kourtney to: “Take off my boot. OMG, my boot! Not my foot!”, Khloe asking Kourtney: “Do I look fat?, with Kourtney replying: “Just like 20 pounds overweight”, Kourtney telling Khloe: “This is not the LAND. This is Glendale”, and and Kim crying about her diamonds being lost in the ocean: “My diamond earring came off in the ocean and now it’s gone!”, with Kourtney, again, keeping it real by retorting: “Kim, there are people that are dying”. It really is KUWTK zinger after zinger.
And while Kylie’s comedic capacity has come to the fore, let us also take a moment to appreciate the outfits. Eight clips means eight costume changes which means eight outfits. Eight glorious Kardashian-worthy outfits (plus another eight on Karanikolaou, matching, of course). There’s a Balenciaga tracksuit set, a leather trench, a skin-tight lycra turtleneck dress, a “Kim” string bikini, a legging and crop top combo, a fur-lined hooded puffer jacket and a “J’Adore Dior” tee and Dior logo twinset. Again, sartorial zinger after zinger.
While most of the clips are Kourtney-centric (she is the show’s savage after all), all Kardashian / Jenner sisters get a run / troll, even mum Kris (who also got her own dedicated video with Kendall about the “cute jeans”). But it was Kourtney’s response which was by far the best – and most fitting: “An icon (I’m talking about me)”. After watching this medley, you most certainly are, Kourtney.
