We all do it: surf our favourite online stores, tagging a bunch of dream items for our Wishlist so we can visit them time to time and dream a cash windfall might actually let us click-to-buy one day.

Well, if you just happened to have earmarked a pair of PUMA Suede trainers on The Iconic, Christmas is about to come early. Customers in Australia and New Zealand who had a pair of the $110 retro-look PUMA Suedes saved in their Wishlist this morning will be sent them as an early Christmas present.

“We love that our customers are fans of PUMA Suedes and saw that many had the famous sneaker style saved in their wish list for Santa to see,” says The Iconic’s CEO Patrick Schmidt. “Everyone is on the ‘nice’ list at The Iconic, so we got together with PUMA for this special Christmas delivery to say a big thank you to all who have supported PUMA and The Iconic in 2017.”

We suspect this won’t be the only publicity buzz PUMA generates around the shoe over coming months. Since 2018 is the 50th anniversary of the Suedes style that’s a go-to day shoe for everyone from Kylie Jenner and Margot Robbie to rapper Jay Z, chances are we’ll see a resurgence of PUMA Suedes on the cool kids over coming months.

If you’re one of those lucky Iconic customers, you’re already ahead of the game. Seems there’s method to the madness of online window-shopping after all. Let’s send Santa a wish that this clever PR stunt takes off across other brands and platforms too.
