GRAZIA: You’ve lived, and built a career, in New York. When you look back, how do you remember that slice of time?
GEORGIA FOWLER: It was fast paced, a wild ride. There were ups and downs but New York is the most incredible city to the live in. To be able to do that in my twenties—and teens, really—was the most amazing experience. [Living in New York] really gives you a drive and ambition in your core, because if you don’t swim here, you sink.
GRAZIA: How would you describe the energy of the city?
GF: The energy is full on! It’s not for all, but I kind of thrive in it. I’m not very good at sitting still so I just keep going here!

GRAZIA: What was it like returning to the city three years post pandemic, and with a little daughter in tow?
GF: It’s been quite different. I’ve realised there are playgrounds all around my apartment that I didn’t know existed! You see the city in a whole new light. I really enjoyed taking [Dylan] to Washington Square Park and there’s all sorts of interesting people doing performances and she just loves it. I like to show her all the differences there are in the world. It’s pretty amazing in New York. There’s so much to see.
GRAZIA: Where is your favourite wine bar in the city and why?
GF: I recently went to Le Dive, I like it there. Skin Contact is also great. It’s all natural wines, which is not a big thing in America yet.
GRAZIA: Where is your favourite place to shop?
GF: I like going around Soho and shopping at the little boutiques. It’s better than being in a big mall because you get some fresh air in between stores.
GRAZIA: Tiffany & Co. is embedded into the cultural fabric that makes up NYC. Do you remember the first time you visited the Fifth Avenue store?
GF: It would have been 10 years ago. I remember Mum and I used to walk up Fifth Avenue and just kind of ogle in all the windows and dream. It’s pretty surreal to come back to New York and be here for the opening of Tiffany & Co.’s iconic boutique, The Landmark.
GRAZIA: Your engagement ring is from Tiffany & Co. How much more special does that make your connection to the brand?
GF: I have always loved Tiffany & Co. I was looking back at images from the opening of The Landmark and there’s all this footage of Audrey Hepburn in her film Breakfast At Tiffany’s. (I actually dressed up as Holly Golightly for Halloween one year!) Tiffany & Co. has always been a peak brand to be associated with. To be able to work with the company is one thing, and then when [my now husband] Nathan and I shot with the brand and he proposed with a Tiffany ring, it all cemented the House being even more special to me.
GRAZIA: What is your favourite floor inside The Landmark? Is it the engagement floor?
GF: [Laughs] It is pretty amazing. I like to go to the engagement floor and have a look at what else is there! It’s hard to pick one area I particularly love, because with each different level they show such different things—like the high jewellery is incredible. The Elsa Peretti pieces which have historic value are really special to see. They are all so in fashion now. Designs that were created a long time ago still hold relevance today and that’s a true testament to Tiffany & Co. It makes a Tiffany piece so special and a true investment.
GRAZIA: You wore an incredible YSL dress to the Tiffany Landmark opening. How did you arrive at that choice?
GF: I first looked at what jewellery options there were and then I worked backwards to showcase the pieces I was wearing. I selected the Elsa Peretti scorpion necklace and the Elsa Peretti cuff and rings. As these are statement pieces, they needed something a little more simple that showed the necklace off. I found the YSL strapless dress and it’s just stunning. It’s a dream dress. It’s the perfect silhouette to make the jewellery pop.

GRAZIA: Can you give me a breakdown of your makeup look this evening?
GF: I just wanted something that was foolproof. I wanted a brown smoky eye and a little bit of natural lip. On my lips, I am wearing Fara Homidi—she just launched a new beauty line and it’s really gorgeous. She has these tones that are meant to almost contour your lips slightly. I then blend them with some moisture balm.
GRAZIA: What’s one big lesson the city has taught you?
GF: To rest! You can keep going and going and going in this city. When I lived here, I was non-stop travelling and there’s so much energy everywhere that you just don’t want to stop. But it takes its toll on your body and you have to learn to sit down.
