In the city of New York, there are parties—those hotspots frequented by Manhattan’s well-heeled scions and celebrities—and then there are Tiffany & Co. parties. The gulf between the two was made even more apparent on April 27 when the 186-year-old luxuriate reopened its newly transformed flagship boutique on 57th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York, now known as The Landmark.
Hemmed in by huge arched windows housing LED screens that display iconic New York scenes and change at the hour, the cerused oak flooring of the iconic building was punctured by celebrities at every sparkling turn.
Hailey Bieber, resplendent in a Versace black midi paid homage to Audrey Hepburn’s Holly Golightly in streams of Tiffany and Co. diamonds at her neck and black sunglasses. Bieber’s hair—slicked back and parted to the side—featured a single twist, a contemporary nod to arguably the second biggest star of Truman Capote’s Breakfast At Tiffany’s: the French bun.
Gossip Girl alum Blake Lively arrived (with her mum Elaine) in a brown leather button-up dress plucked from Brandon Maxwell’s Pre-Fall 2022 collection. It was, however, the stunning Tiffany & Co. Elsa Peretti gold necklace that the actress was wearing that could have ignited a war between Blair Wardolf and Serena van der Woodsen (a piece so special that it will no doubt be returned to The Landmark’s high jewellery floor come the weekend.)
The Batman star Zoë Kravitz was the personification of understated elegance in a white collared blouse and black velvet pencil skirt by Saint Laurent. She teamed it with a crystal bralette and diamond necklace by Tiffany & Co, the former so sparkly that it caught the light of the four thousand-kilo diamond skylight feature bolted to the ceiling. Kravitz’s look starkly stood contrast to Gal Gadot’s sculptural navy velvet Loewe gown. (But don’t be fooled, Gadot was seen dancing the night away, its boxy silhouette no obstruction to this Wonder Woman’s party moves!)
Next was new Valentino signing Florence Pugh who arrived in a sheer, mint green gown by the Maison—and despite its length swimming on the diminutive actress, she was later seen dancing with Lively. Anya Taylor Joy daintily tottered through the revolving doors of the boutique in a red feathered midi from Dilara Findikoglu’s Spring 2023 collection.
All guests met with Tiffany & Co.’s President and Chief Executive Officer Anthony Ledru inside The Landmark before making their way to The Tiffany Flagship Next Door—a space which was serving as the Houses’ temporary home as The Landmark was being renovated, and, for this evening, had been transformed into an exclusive party.

DJ Mia Moretti and a performance by the Radio City Rockettes got the crowd excited for… a very special performance by Katy Perry. In a pale blue gown with a bow at the back (how Tiffany!) the singer’s diamonds around her neck were gleaming as she effortlessly belted out “Teenage Dream”, “Firework” “Never Really Over”, “E.T.” and a special request from the Arnault family “I Kissed A Girl”.
The reopening of the boutique marks the luxury retailer’s first holistic renovation since the store opened in 1940. Legendary architect Peter Marino and OMA New York’s Shohei Shigematsu were tasked with renovating the 10-storey boutique, a delicate brief which involved balancing the Maison’s incredible heritage with a contemporary design that will change the retail shopping experience as we know it.
“The reopening of the iconic Fifth Avenue Landmark is a major milestone for our House,” says Ledru. “Symbolic of a new era for Tiffany & Co., the Landmark is much more than a jewellery store—it is a cultural hub with an exquisite showcase of architecture and superior hospitality, as well as cutting-edge art and design. It sets a new bar for luxury retail on a global scale.”
Yes, the party at 57th and Fifth couldn’t have been more New York—silver and blue confetti even showered the roaring crowd post Perry’s performance. But as the newest landmark on the Manhattan block, the splashy scenes made for a fitting tribute to a House forever woven into the cultural fabric of the city.
