Emilia Clarke has hit the age milestone of 35 and in fitting style, the actress went all out for her birthday bash (be right back, adding this to my Pinterest board). Channelling the infamous New York City nightclub, Studio 54, Clarke spared no expense for a disco-themed affair. Because let’s be real, past examples prove she’s a wizard at party dressing.

The Game of Thrones star shared a suite of black-and-white pictures from the evening to her Instagram.

“Holy birthday balls now THATS what I call a good time. 😂🤩💃🕺,” the actress wrote in a caption. “Any fears over the next roll round the sun melted in the haze and glory of this ode to studio 54. THANK YOU for all your beautiful messages and love!! I was floating on an air of good vibes that should last me all year….😘❤️🙏🏻 And extra special thanks to the next level birthday squad that got me my feathers and my glitter…💃”

The feathers and glitter she’s referring to is of course the incredible mini dress. She was styled by Chloe Beeney and Petra Flannery and wore a David Koma spring/summer 2022 number which features an a-symmetric hem and feathered bodice. Liza Minnelli could never. Jewellery was Elsa Peretti from Tiffany & Co.

Makeup was by Lynsey Alexander and the actress’ twisted up-do was courtesy of Anthony Turner.

In the comments section, Clarke was treated to some birthday love, most notably from her GoT co-star Jason Momoa. The actor lovingly commented, “happy birthday love sorry i missed it. ❤️❤️❤️.”

Speaking of past movie roles, this week it was announced that Clarke would star alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor (known for 2012 and Infinite) for a sci-fi romantic comedy titled “The Pod Generation”. According to a synopsis from Variety

“Set in a near future where AI is all the rage and nature is becoming a distant memory, the story revolves around Rachel (Clarke) and Alvy (Ejiofor), a New York couple who are ready to take their relationship to the next level and start a family.”

Consider us intrigued.
