In recent months, Dua Lipa has been hitting all the right notes, not just when it comes to singing, but when it comes to her wardrobe, too. The 25-year-old pop star is currently showing her boyfriend Anwar Hadid around her home country of Albania, using the occasion to showcase her holiday wardrobe in all its ‘90s and Y25-era glory (belly button rings included).
Not one to miss any moment to show off her bold style, Lipa, with help from her go-to stylist Lorenzo Posocco, packed heavy with a suitcase full of bikinis, mini dresses, hot dog tees and trucker caps. Thankfully, she made sure to document each and every look, usually with multiple angles, for her 70m fans on Instagram.
Last week, Lipa’s top hits included a white tank dress by The Attico—the brand behind her favourite pair of purple heels—with silver thong sandals and Prada earrings, before later changing into a similar dress—this time, sparkly silver and featuring cut-out details—by Courrèges.
Then came the colour. Over the weekend, Lipa debuted two blue outfits, both of which by designers tipped to be fashion’s next big thing.
The first consisted of a tight long-sleeve top and bike shorts by New York-based brand Marshall Colombia, which has been previously worn by Miley Cyrus and Paloma Elsesser. The items—both yet unreleased—feature a bold heart pattern in blue hues, which Lipa matched her beauty look and jewellery to.
The next day, Lipa hit a home run in Charlotte Knowles, wearing the UK-based brand’s Vines dress and Hydra bag for an evening out with Hadid and friends. Matching the tight mini dress, Lipa wore a pair of black strappy heels, a chunky necklace, and pulled her hair back into a bun.
Of late, Charlotte Knowles has been having a major moment with celebrities, worn by everyone from The Crown’s Emma Corrin, to Beyonce and Bella Hadid. But with Lipa’s new lease on fashion lately, perhaps no endorsement could be better than one by her.
