In September, Dior Spa revealed an exceptional space: the Dior light suite. A first for a luxury Paris hotel, it may just be the Plaza Athénée’s best-kept secret. Inspired by light therapy, this treatment room features a unique ceiling capable of perfectly reproducing the sun’s benefits with LEDs that diffuse natural light on three levels of intensity: energising, relaxing or restorative.
Designed in an exclusive partnership with Lucibel, this “Cronos light” enables guests to re-synchronise their circadian and chronobiological rhythms. This light harnesses the power to influence well-being by providing the ideal dose of daily light, which is the key to balancing energy and sleep, as well as eradicating signs of fatigue and enhancing the skin. Lasting 90 minutes, each treatment mimics the ultradian cycle that naturally regulates our days.
The Energising Recharge Ritual awakens the body and mind, harmonising the biological clock and the emotions. It draws on the glimmering dawn light that gradually blooms into the shining rays of the midday sun, infused with the blue of the sky, as the massage techniques reactivate the body. The Recover Ritual envelops the body and mind in the light of an entire day, closing with a soft, amber-hued half-light to encourage recovery and high-quality rest. Ensuring the ultimate unwind, it combines a relaxing massage, a restorative siesta phase, followed by a stimulating massage. Lastly, with the Rest Rtiuall, the sunset light leads gently into the night, gently transitioning the body into a night of decompression and serene sleep.
