Dior has designed a range of sneakers only available in Australia at its first Melbourne men’s store, opening November 24

In celebration of the luxury French House opening its first men’s store in Melbourne, on 24 November, Dior will reveal a new sneaker collection exclusively for the boutique and only a few select stores around the world. And we do mean exclusive – the range, comprising seven different styles, will only be available to purchase at the new store, located in Chadstone Shopping Centre. The boutique will also stock Dior Homme RTW, accessories, leather goods and other footwear.

Designer Kris Van Assche has drastically diverted from Dior’s signature aesthetic for this collection

Designed by artistic director of Dior Homme, Kris Van Assche, the House’s devotees may be a little surprised with the limited-edition sneakers. The label has drastically diverted from its signature minimalist, classic aesthetic of seasons past – and Van Assche is totally fine with it.

“I always like to blur the lines and create contrasts: the idea here was to play with a classical shape and radical techniques,” he revealed. Think a mishmash of bold hues and graphics that consequently create high-octane glam.

These grey and blue metallic lace-ups are one of seven sneaker styles only available at Dior’s first Melbourne store

From white glitter finishing, to sneakers splatted with different coloured paints, these shoes aren’t for those who want attention because of their attire. Due to oozing so much cool, GRAZIA has no doubt a fair few females will be entering the Dior men’s boutique to nab a pair, too.

Ranging from $1100 to $1750, the sneakers are available in three sleek styles – mid-top, slip-on and lace-up. Males: team all with a suit, exercise gear, chinos. And for the ladies? A dress, skirt, jeans – anything, really.
