Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin are a couple who piques the interest of a multitude of different groups from all over the world. There are the (millions of) Coldplay fans. The Fifty Shades of Grey lovers. The Fifty Shades of Grey haters (justice for Dakota!) and those who love the actress for one of her many charms: her style, her mystery, her limes, her brilliant takedown of Ellen DeGeneres.

But despite the never wavering interest in her love life, Johnson manages to keep her romance mostly out of the spotlight, opening up only sometimes, and only slightly, whenever she sees fit. In fact, it’s been year over a year now since she was spotted with what looked like an engagement ring on her finger and we still don’t know if she’s engaged (or married!).

The pair manage to keep their private life (mostly) private because they spend a lot of time at their Malibu home, which they bought in January 2020 for a cool $12.5 million. The house has six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and a modern Cape Cod-style estate that spans 5,338 square feet—definitely worthy of another Architectural Digest home tour, if you ask us.

“We’ve been together for quite a while, and we go out sometimes, but we both work so much that it’s nice to be at home and be cozy and private,” Johnson told Elle UK in an interview published Thursday. “Most of the partying takes place inside my house.”

Johnson, who has been dating 44-year-old Martin since 2017, also revealed she feels both younger and older than her real age of 32. “I feel both 48 and 26,” she explained. “I’ve had a lot of life in my life. I had a lot of life really young, so I think I feel older.” After confessing she’s currently spending most of her time on the couch watching season two of The Great, she said, she “should get slightly f–ked up” on a Friday night, but “drinking tea and watching TV is appealing” since she works so much.

For his part, Martin recently dedicated one of his new songs to his “universe”, Johnson, during a Coldplay concert in London in October. “This is about my universe, and she’s here,” he said while pointing into the stands at Johnson.
