In recent years, Cher, an icon in many ways, has added Twitter icon to her resume, as more and more people cottoned on to her brilliant social media presence which includes jokes, political rhetoric and life musings.

Of course, die-hard fans know Cher’s Twitter game is nothing new. In fact, some of her best content was released way back in 2012, including tweets such as, “Whats going on with mycareer” and “I blocked someone’s DAD !?! Who was it ?”

For 2022, Cher decided to use her platform to share some of her secrets, including how she looks this good.

Overnight, she dropped her entire workout regime—and given her abs have stayed as flat as a surfboard for decades, it’s predictably intense. It turns out the singer, who once revealed she “can do a five-minute plank, okay? Just saying” likes both high-intensity and low-intensity, mixing targeted exercises for her abs and glutes with daily yoga. She alternates between different classes to mix things up, such as Zumba—a dance class—and the aerobics class step, which she’s long been an advocate for.

“Just came up from, Abs, Zumba, Yoga, Wall Sits,” Cher tweeted. She then added that tomorrow’s routine includes, “My Step Class, Yoga, Different Abs. 🙄”  Predicting fans’ responses, she then wrote, “WHOA.”

This isn’t the first time Cher’s talked about her love of keeping fit: in 1991, she released an entire book on the subject (which, despite customers noting some of the diet advice is a little dated, you can still buy online today) and she’s even dropped Spandex-laden YouTubes before, too.

Hard copy aside, Cher has also spoken out a few times about her eating habits and favourite exercises to the media, revealing to Hello! back in 2013 she exercises five times a week because “it’s something I’ve always done and I just enjoy it.” And likely also because:

On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she once said one of her go-to glute burners is an exercise you can do at home with no weights known as a fire hydrant. “So you get down on all fours and you put your leg up and you make an L with your leg and you do it up like that,” Cher said, adding she does this for “three sets of 25.”

As for her diet, the singer is a longtime vegetarian. “I don’t like meat and so most of the things that I like are healthy for you, apart from desserts,” she told Hello!. But if you thought that meant she also avoids carbs, you’d be wrong. One of her favourite meals is pasta. “Pasta gives me a lot of energy,” she added. A forever icon.

Brb, off to do this Cher-narrated step workout:
